It will be carried out with manual crowbars of 4', 6', 8' feet in length according to the section of the Chimney, in such a way that it must be carried out in a general and thorough manner. It should be noted that after untying it must be carried out at all times, while all activity is carried out in the Chimney, proceeding with the cycle of support, drilling and blasting of the chimney with Raise Climber equipment.
Drilling
Drilling is carried out with pneumatic drilling machines of the Stopper type for advancement; while for support with Jackleg. Support is understood as the different types of support with Split set, helical bolts, electro-welded mesh, shotcrete, formwork; according to the Geomechanical recommendation.
Ventilation
The evacuation of gasses produced by the blasting will be carried out by means of forced ventilation with compressed air through the ducts incorporated in the advance rack, and at the upper end a SHOOTING HEAD device is installed which also acts as an ATOMIZER. A gas monitor is used to monitor gasses in the chamber and in the chimney.
Blasting
For breaking, an explosive charge is used, with a set power, taking into account the quality of the rock mass, while the drill holes that delimit the section will be made with a lower charge using the controlled pre-cut blasting method. Shot initiation is done from cruises and main galleries, using EXPLOSORS and/or mechanisms specially designed for this purpose.
